Culture and Community
The Kichaka staff are Maasai, and proud to share their culture and wisdom with you.
Visit the open air livestock market which takes place in Bisil on Fridays and Mondays. An authentic and colourful event that brings together Masai traders from all over the county who meet to buy and sell cattle, sheep and goats. While you’re in town, sample some local cuisine at one of the ‘Nyama Choma’ joints serving delicious roasted goat and beef.
Amboseli
Take a picnic and drive to the Amboseli National Park which is about a two hour drive away. The return trip can be comfortably made in one day – in a four-wheel drive!
Relax
Chill by the pool, play a round of croquet, do a spot of yoga (mats provided), or lie in a hammock under the shade of an acacia tree and enjoy the abundance of bird life. In the evening sit by the campfire, gaze at the stars and listen to the sounds of the African night.
